Agreed. This is the picture they took right after he proposed, which would be more appropriate for a wedding save the date card not a Christmas card.

I still can't get over how shit the wording is.

The awkward wording there is almost as bad as Meghannnnnn's invitations. Jenna's Christmas card needs more "fun fonts," though.

My least favorite part is the repetition of joy. If you're wishing someone joy, isn't it obvious that you have joy in your heart? Why couldn't it just say "Wishing you joy this holiday season, from our home to yours. Love, Adam and Jenna"? Also, I dislike that there is no mention of Dexter, but then again I'm the tool that signs all cards with my cat's name in addition to mine.

Ugh, I'm so embarrassed for her and for the person that designed these.

That's the part that bugs me the most too. I'm also of the opinion that pets should be mentioned, but I guess she wouldn't have had enough room to mention the engagement if she included Dexter. eyeroll

Poor Dexter. She used to mention him all the time and now it seems like she couldn't give a shit about him, or at least not enough to mention him on her blog. He's such a cutie, too.

I think my favorite part about the card is that they're wishing you joy in the CHRISTMAS season. Sorry Jewish/etc. friends! No holiday greetings for you.

[Maybe Christmas-only cards are common, but most pre-made photo cards I receive might have Christmas colors etc. but have a generic message about "holidays" (and I do celebrate Christmas)].

I doubt Jenna even knows anyone who's not Christian. It probably never occurred to her to be inclusive of other faiths.

Isn't she an U. of Alabama sorority girl?  I don't think they teach diversity.

She was, but switched to a college in NC, I think. Or was it SC? In any case, she still considers herself an U. of Alabama alumni.

she went to alabama, elon, AND college of charleston. not to knock on those schools – i have good friends who went to each of them – but her transferring multiple times always gave me the impression that she was naive, childish, lacking the drive to pursue a real career, and just not very smart.

I think she only went to Alabama for a year (or that's how it sounded in her book). Then she went to College of Charleston (not much different on the diversity front).

The wording.  Ugh.  This from someone who MAJORED IN ENGLISH and is a PUBLISHED AUTHOR.  What the heck is wrong with the publishing world?  The wording is awful.  This card further perpetuates her southern housewife/stay at home mom life she obviously wants.  I hate when bloggers claim to be writers, especially when they continue to prove they know nothing about the English language.
