Rogue Magazine has published an article full of accusations against that Bryan Boy person. Many of the claims are the usual “someone who made it” fodder – he’s a social climbing douche, is a “sociopathic” user eye scratching his way to the top, etc. But some of the people interviewed all but said that Bryan Boy finances much of his “glamorous” lifestyle with credit card activity of questionable legality.
The article quotes posts from some old credit card board, and includes various quotes from people who evidently knew Bryan Boy back when. Someone named Tina Daniac claimed:
The article seems to center around claims that Bryan Boy built his fame and success on a pile of credit card fraud which he used to buy insane amounts of luxury goods to photograph himself with. Frankly I just assume all fashion bloggers pretty much exist on credit cards, because I honestly cannot see how they afford their constant shopping otherwise. So maybe I’m missing why this is some huge scandal, since they don’t seem to have any actual proof that he’s running around with a bunch of fraudulent accounts or anything.
All I know for sure is that I eagerly await Bryan Boy suing Rogue Magazine. That should be a lol worthy lawsuit.
Hopefully once he started to make money he paid them back, but who knows. Lots of Americans do this. I don’t see why this should be news, to be honest.

I mean the Tina Daniac person (check google) is a fashion designer with poor taste and obviously no career, then if you google Cecile Van Straten you’ll find that she is a blogger called Chuvaness, tried to read the blog but I just got bored so that’s quite self explanatory about that blogger. The the other Bryan I can’t seem to find much info who he is but sounded like a jealous hack like the rest.

And I also assume that most of these bloggers have to be using either trust funds or credit card debt to fuel the consumption, because seriously, how do regular people afford to shop like that?

That’s part of the backlash against him in the Philippines. Wealthy, society Filipinos can’t STAND how far he’s gone in the fashion world. In the Philippines its called “crab mentality.” I personally know most of the people quoted in the article, and they’re all fatuous grifters in their own way – that awful Brian Gorrell is the worst of the lot. Much a macabre Byzantine circus, that’s an aspect of Manila I don’t miss.
cecille Zamora Von Stratten, the one who claims she was so burned by Bryanboy has an extremely materialistic blog called Chuvaness that would warrant GOMI coverage if any one gave a fuck. Her family’s money comes largely from kickbacks and graft from the impeached President Joseph Estrada’s administration. Brain Gorrell’s blog is a rabbit hole of hell and hate – he’s a seriously deranged grifter. nasty stuff.

i was one of the subjects interviewed for the story. BB and I used to be good friends. he used to eat in my house and I would defend him to anyone who would put him down. I stopped associating with him when i found out how evil he really is.

Chuvaness/ Cecile Van Straten is more than just a bathroom-loving, one color wearing woman. Behind that image she portrays is a big back stabbing, conniving, looks down on everyone (while giggling) woman. She portrays to be this and that but anyone who know her real side (her friends tell everyone behind her back) that she is one evil and despicable woman who is lucky to have a rich father because without her benefactor, she has no talent, no real friends, husband (according to her friends, she had to buy a husband), and minions that say yes to her crazy world that she strongly believes that she is the center of.
She is a classic tale of a Poor Little Rich Girl that she has re-written, edited and with her use/abuse of PR created her cover up and make believe world that people who doesn’t know any better and social climbers live in with her.
She has strong issues about her looks (why of course why wouldn’t she) thus distracting people with what she wears and proudly broadcasting each and every label along with the price tag so people will not look on the face God has given her.
Her pure hatred with the social climbing monkey Bryan Boy is based on deep dark jealousy that a creature from nothing of the likes of Bryan Boy made it so far high up the blogger/fashion scene internationally in which she ( Cecile Van Straten) always pictured and imagined she was the center of in her own made up world inside her mind.
She blogs to keep herself relevant and to know before she goes to sleep that she has minions of zombies (her friends call them “mumuys”) who follow and worship her because they don’t know her any better and much so the real her. She blogs for shameless self promotion because other than her expensive travels, dining, and shopping paid by her daddy, she really has nothing more to offer.
She runs/owns Pepper Lunch, of course the purchased pre-paid husband has to do something with food after the enormous failure of trying to be a chef in various restaurants. A close friend of hers discusses while laughing out loud in a dinner at Greenbelt: “My gosh! she bought herself a white husband yet the product of their mating is still as revolting as her reflection in mirrors, what ever happened to strong Caucasian genes! ssshhhh don’t tell her ha, we have to see her tomorrow”.
One does contemplate on what Cecile Van Straten has done and worked hard for herself that is not provided by her benefactor, blogging as Chuvaness? husband? writing for broadsheets? over popularized career in fashion design? Pepper Lunch?.
Both Cecile Van Straten and Bryan Boy used to be friends, one made it and the other still stuck in her made up world inside her head while the rest laughs behind her back.
She can continue to hate on Bryan Boy and vice versa, but on Grudge match without Cecile Van Straten’s benefactor, She won’t stand 1 round and it will be a knock out.

I used to read Bryan Boy years ago (maybe 2005?) and he would always post about being dirt poor. I figured it had to be an act considering his shopping habts. I remember he also had a much more “colorful” internet presence before he got big. Most of his posts graphically referenced anal sex, being a cum dumpster, etc. It was bizarre. I’m assuming once big names like Marc Jacobs started to notice him he turned his internet persona around. Either way he’s obnoxious and unrelatable. I about died when I saw he’s on the new cycle of America’s Next Top Model as some sort of advisor.

Many, many years ago – Bryan used to be a MAJOR promoter of bulimia. He had posts all over his blog about his bulimia and about why he recommended bulimia in general to other people. This was *not* your run-of-the-mill type pro-ana/bulimia type stuff; nor was it meant to be ironic or funny. It was straight up blatant promotion of being bulimic, and how to do it ‘properly’. Some super crazy shit. Now, you can’t find those posts anywhere…or, at least I can’t — maybe someone who is more skilled can find the stuff.
As far as the credit card stuff, I’m not surprised. I mean, the Philippines is one of the hubs of ID theft, counterfeit goods/cards etcetera. The thing is – even if he appears more legit now, there is clearly a part of him that is rooted in a very scummy and dishonest core….and all of that was plain as day back in the days when he blogged about how AWESOME bulimia was. I wonder how many people were harmed

Did anyone catch the brief segment with him and Giuliana on E! News at the time of NYFW, maybe three seasons ago?
