I don't think SDL and Momastery are the same person, but I'd bet my left pinky that "Christie" up there bears a striking resemblance to Dan. That's exactly the kind of shit he's known and reviled for.

He's been busted for that several times! And leaving comments about how the blogger should do a blog post on him or have him guest blog.

There's some Kelle  Hampton drama on Momastery – I wasn't sure which thread to post this in. Glennon posted shirts for sale and the end of her post she says:

*** Thank you, precious Kelle, for the pictures and for being you!

This is in the comments:

No thanks if Kelle Hampton is involved. Can not stomach the woman and her industry based on marketing her own kids.

Seriously?! Then maybe you should find another blog to read, you must have missed the part where Glennon and Kelle are good friends, AND that she ONLY took pictures… Why punish Glennon because someone you happen to not care for took pictures for her?

Why did you feel the need to post at all if it was going to be negative? This whole post and point of the shirt is to share your light and spark, and this seems to do neither. You are entitled to your own opinion and to support or not support whomever you want, but why put the negativity in the comments? May the positive spark and light of this amazing woman (Glennon) shine on you and encourage you to spread the love.

I can get touchy about things I feel are exploitative too–and to be clear, I think it’s great to be conscious about not supporting such things. Go, you! That said, this is a pretty harsh condemnation, delivered without any evidence. That makes me feel like you could’ve chosen a more constructive way of putting it–especially here where we try so hard to speak with love even when we don’t feel like it, and double-especially after our collective conversation about how hurtful internet comments can be after “Half-Alive.”

You definitely don't want to offend Glennon's "Monkees" by criticizing Glennon's precious Kelle. I have to laugh at her reason for offering the shirts for sale:

"Every penny we earn from the sales of the Pass It On shirt will go to defray the costs of maintaining and bettering the Momastery website. Up till now, Craig and I have been paying all the costs ourselves. It became time for a new plan, because WOWZA  - as this place gets bigger and bigger, so do our bills."

Sorry, I'm not going to buy a shirt (an ugly shirt at that) to help support someone with 50,000 facebook fans and a book deal.

I came here to post about the 5,000 shirts she has for sale.  I hope she ends up eating them!

Oh she'll sell them out in a heartbeat. I thought Katie Granju had fawning fans, but Glennon's set a new record in that department.
She has written some really good stuff. Her self-absorption was kind of endearing at first, because she would poke fun at it herself. Now…well it's morphed into true "aren't I all that a bag of rocks" self-absorption. Guess that happens when something your write goes viral and over 50,000 people keep telling you how wonderful, awesome and the second coming you are.
Her post "Half Alive" was majorly annoying. She has written how she won't do advertising, it's all about the love, and now she's hawking t-shirts. Too bad. She's starting to get (and read) some criticism. I won't be surprised if the defensive, crazy, shrew like behavior starts surfacing, like it does for all the mommy bloggers once their 15 minutes is over.

Just read what gimmechocolate posted on November 16 about the Helping Hands. What the fuckity fuck? Now I am REALLY wondering if this isn't indeed all about Glennon. Bummer, I thought she might be the real deal. Comments being deleted? wow, that's a play from the Katie Granju playbook. Next thing you'll be hearing is there are "technical difficulties" happening if things get too hot. Feeling pretty disillusioned by Mrs. Melton right now.

Her fans are truly frightening, they really worship her. These kinds of comments are all over her blog and FB page:

Fingers crossed for the christmas bonus…. this will be my gift to myself. Love you and EVERYTHING that you represent, G…. YOU are truly amazing!! Thank you!!

She is selling shirts – WTF is so amazing about that?? People like that really scare me. And I have no doubt those shirts will all be sold within days, that's how crazy they are about anything she says or does.

I have developed a serious snark boner for this woman and her fans. This cult of personality blogger thing really creeps me out, and nothing in the blogosphere is more indicative of a raging ego problem than a blogger calling her reader something related to the blog name (Monkees, Herbies, gross).

What the fuck is that shirt? Just because they call themselves "Monkees" doesn't mean they have to LOOK like fucking morons too. I used to really like Glennon, but man, this blogger gang thing is getting a little out of hand yikes I wonder if these women ever feel the need to step in and settle the herd. I would honestly stop reading a blog for being completely put off by the followers.

From her latest post:

We have welcomed over fifty thousand new Monkees in one year.  And we have done this – this wild, lovely, family-growing fun – through one Monkee deciding to Pass It On to another, like a gift.  A gift of an easy breath and a soft place to land and a home to celebrate you – in all of your beautiful, broken glory.

It’s so freaking amazing, when you take a moment to consider it. When we come here, my divine spark speaks to yours and you speak back. The best me speaks to you. The best you responds.  God in us. That’s the magic of here. This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine….

This shirt is cozy, warm and forgiving, like Momastery.

HELLO, Messiah Complex.

She is seriously intolerable. Also? The self-righteousness about putting ads up? If I was a "Monkee" I would much rather have to divert my eyes from a few sidebar ads than listen to her shilling her miraculous t-shirts.

a commenter on the shirt post asked about donating. another "monkee" told her how, but it was for the Monkey See/Monkey Do, charity. Glennon jumped on that real quick "oh lovies, no that is MSMD, this is how you donate to 'keep the site running'. and now a monkey store. the sellout begins…..
