Sorry, can't reply properly on my iPhone.
A beach cottage:
Nope, don't get it either, seems so dull! I've never bothered with her site the few times I've been there. Yawn.
Edenland:
Used to think she was one of the best….. now, meh. Advertising has cost her I think (whomever it was that said she once said she'd never advertise… I heard that too….. but, yeah, right! That didn't last long!). I don't know if it's me, but I'm just finding her more and more grating. Everything is a life changing mission, everything is deep. That must be exhausting to try and do that all the time!!!
Danimezza:
Used to read her often but the advertising shits me to tears. It's seems she's solely on a mission to get as much advertising as she can, who gives a shit what it is! She'd review anything for the cash and it leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. As for whoever said typo exploded in her house…….. LOL!
Random.ramblings of a SAHM:
Urgh, no, just no. Those poor kids.
(What happened was terrible of course but I don't like her writing style)
Think that's enough ranting for my Fri morning train ride ![]()

Her 'negatives and positives' post is obviously a hit to GOMI. I feel like I have created a monster with this thread ;)…so much butt hurt, so little time! If I were a 'big' blogger and people were talking about me on here I'd take it as a compliment. Also if I were making money from my blog and getting extra hits to my site because of GOMI I'd be pretty pleased. Sure we can get pretty catty up in here from time to time, but so what? If these bloggers can't take it, they can take their lives off-line. Once you put yourself 'out there' you better be prepared to take some flak for the things you stand behind and say.
Actually…. I don't know if you're right? I think she's annoyed because another Fatshion blogger kind of called her out on brands etc.
I think you're right. I hate when fashion posts on any blog consist of almost all c/o items which is Danimezza pretty much every week. It makes me think that their personal style is kind of lame as they rely too heavily on freebies. I doubt they dress like that in real life at all.
The Beetle Shack is the same. She is currently pregnant with no 3 & her fashion posts have been exclusively c/o for months. Boring.

If you google retromummy's real name a story about her trouble getting pregnant. Also a punch of other random articles come up that in (my opinion) suggest retromummy desire for fame we touched on earlier.
Corrie Sebire or Corrie Swinnerton aka retromummy – just want to make sure that this thread now comes up if anyone googles her.
(Both names appear on her blog, for anyone who feels this is an invasion of her privacy, as do her children's full names and her husbands. The woman is morally bankrupt when it comes to pimping her family.)

Haha. The Amish quote made my day
. I was thinking she looked like an extra in Big Love dressed the way she is but Amish is probably right.
I can't stand the comments. A few people need their eyes tested, like Danielle:

Don't know her just saw her out and about with the family. She was wearing the ugliest pants I have ever laid eyes on, MC hammer eat your heart out, MASSIVE poo catchers, with this volumunous white shirt. She looked massive (which I don't think she is) and so hot as it was a very warm day. I noticed the pants first and then recognised the kids. She seriously looked horrid & straight out weird.

Does anyone read Sesame Ellis/Rachel Devine? She's another Aussie mum blogger, only she is American and moved there just before having her twins. I used to really like her blog, but now it's mostly sponsored posts about Yogurt and some retail chain store.
Does anyone read Sheye Rosemeyer? She got really popular a few years back when her eldest daughter sadly passed away. She's been through so much it is hard to say anything negative and it kind of feels wrong, and at the time she was so honest and geniune, but she really does lead a lavish lifestyle and expects companies and readers to send her very expensive things for free. She wanted to turn her daughter's clothes into a quilt, but didn't want to cut them up (totally understandable) so she asked companies to donate replicas (we're talking $100+ toddler dresses here) so people could use those to make it. I understand the sentiment, it just seemed very odd to me. She has such sweet memorials for her daughter, but then asks people to send her things and buy "tea party kits" her friend put together for $100+. I think I may be a horrible person for even posting her here, but something about her really rubs me the wrong way.

Central Coast of NSW. Not a high heel in sight!
What I find probably most annoying about these features is that the bloggers get dressed up just to take these photos. Most of them are Stay at home mums (or work at home mums if you consider blogging a job) & these outfits are completely inpractical for kid wrangling.
I don't think danimezza would wear mos of this stuff out and about in Windsor when she's with her family. Can we talk about her husband for a second? SHe did a feature on her wardrobe once and the man had a pitiful amount of clothes, like practically nothing. He always looks like a kind of a dag in her family shots too, would it kill her to spend some money on his wardrobe?
These bloggers just play dress ups with the c/o stuff and then I bet sell all of it on eBay.

I actually prefer them to do real outfits they really wear. I follow a few non mum blogs who don't play dress ups this way but actually do photograph their daily outfits & I find them much more interesting. I guess it is a personal preference thing. I wouldn't say that the outfit I saw Beetle Shack in was particularly practical for dealing with the kids really, I was hot just looking at her. It was 'fashionable' but (in my opinion) butt ugly fashion. It was at the beach so heels would have been truly ridiculous.
I actually always like Faux Fuschia's outfit shots as I do believe she wears all of her gorgeous things. Same for Sydney Shop Girl, less glam but most definitely real life.
For me real life outfits are usually much more engaging than fantasy outfits that don't get worn in the wild.

It was fugly. Seriously. Come on now.
I'd like to see them being normal, not wearing fugly, fugly high fashion items or trying to dress high fashion. I'm all for fashion shows and the like – when I lived in London they were fun but I think that's the operative word here; fun. High fashion is supposed to be flamboyant but it's not meant to be practical whatsoever. The practicality aspect of fashion eventually filters down into the high street shops who mass produce items and need to make them cheap, cheap, cheap whereas fashion, to me, is fun and not thinking about if the Average Joe can afford it.
Fashion bloggers on the other hand are supposed to be Average Joe's/Joanne's or at least their audience falls into this bracket and they should aim for that market.

Oh I really like this blog! Thanks for the recommendation. Her photos are so good, I think she's talented (says I who has no photography expertise whatsoever). These kind of stories are the ones normal people can relate to. Most definitely a SOMI.
Speaking of photography what is with the Tim Coulson obsession all of these bloggers have? Baby called Max, BabyMac & Beetle Shack have all done his courses or had photos taken by him. He seems to be a good photographer I always wondered if he was a friend that they were helping out by spreading the good word? I get BabyMac being able to afford going to his course (which was quite expensive) but was curious how Cherie afforded it as she always is at pains to remind us how she is broke.

She's a really wonderful person. I don't want to gush too much and show my favouritism but srsly I really enjoy her blog. Her sister is also a very talented and well know photographer (Hailey Bartholomew) and they seem very well rounded, down to earth individuals who have a lot of time for the people who follow them. Hailey has really hit the big time as a photographer yet Georgia doesn't gush on and on about it to get page views, like most bloggers would and with this Hailey seems even more grounded as a person rather than turning into a total douche bag. I like that about them both.
They have another little sister who got into photography for a bit but who doesn't post anything to her Flickr these days and she seemed to be cut from the same cloth as her sisters. Love that family, they effin' rock and know how to conduct themselves on-line very, very, very well.
I remember Georgia was going to quit blogging after some bitches on Circle of Moms started saying a bunch of really mean things about one of her videos of her daughter but a load of readers, friends and family sent loads of positive messages to her and unlike most bloggers she didn't choose to focus on the bad, moved on from the bitchy comments and kept the blog going. It was awful those judgemental bitches were accusing her of cigarette burning her kid and all kinds of weird stuff
. And she's not a consumer obsessed blogger (she's written a few posts about handmade Christmas gifts and I love her book advent idea
) – she might do a few sponsored posts or give aways here and there but mostly it's from salt of the earth companies that are relevant to her target audience so she can SOMI forever and a day.
I hadn't heard of Tim Coulson until you brought him up, searched out for his portfolio, found his site and I'm not impressed. His photos are okay but I have photog friends who are better and I'd rather pay them than him and I certainly wouldn't fork out for one of his lessons/classes/what have you. Maybe he did a deal with them? After all if his target is brides and mothers then it fits in well with those sorts of blogs who pimp it out.

I was sent a link to this thread and Wow what a horrible thread this is. Don't you girls have anything better to do?
Why do you give a flying fuck about these bloggers? Why do you care so much about what they are doing that you have to publicly bitch about their private lives in such a public thread.
Why don't you just unfollow them on twitter and facebook and stop reading their blogs if they shit you so much?
Why on earth would you put in a bloggers real name so that this thread is searchable on google. What a low fucking act that is. Did you even stop to consider for one minute how this thread makes those bloggers feel?
Jesus fucking Christ I need a fucking shower after reading all this shit posted in here. What a bunch of small minded, mean spirited arseholes you all are.
Oh and I logged in under my blog name because unlike you fuckers, If I have a problem with someone I tell them to their faces, rather than bitch about them anonymously.
